New councillor following a secret ballot, councillors unanimously voted for Melissa Fletcher and she was welcomed by the Chairman.
Aston Rowant Cricket Club as they had still not paid their bill from last season it was decided to send them a letter threatening legal action as the money owed was public money.
Ewelme News as the News was intended as a communication vehicle for the Parish Council, it was felt that if expenditure exceeded income from advertisers, then the shortfall would be met by a contribution by the Council.
RAF Benson it was suggested that after the new Commanding Officer, Group Captain Paul Lyall, had settled in, the Council needed to meet with him to discuss priorities.
Cricket representatives of Ewelme Cricket Club attended the meeting and discussed with councillors the facilities and their use. Council stated that to maintain the pitch at the expense of villagers was unacceptable and various ideas were suggested as a way forward. The grass preparation equipment could be allocated to the Cricket Club for their use.
Speeding signs had been put up around the villages to remind thoughtless drivers to slow down but many of the plastic signs had been vandalised.
Health and safety a risk assessment was required by the auditor. This would be studied and discussed by councillors at the next meeting.
Hampden Way 27 responses to the questionnaires had been received with many people commenting and offering ideas. 21 out of the 27 had been in favour of the path being kept open whereas 5 werent. Two issues were highlighted dog owners calling to their charges at unreasonable times and children playing noisily near private properties. Council proposed to write to SOHA with the questionnaire results and request that a gate be put into the fence. If users were anti-social, then the gate could always be padlocked.
