DEPUTY COMMANDER JHC PRAISES DEDICATION OF RAF BENSON PERSONNEL

On a recent visit to RAF Benson, the Deputy Commander Joint Helicopter Command has praised the continued loyalty and dedication shown by the station’s personnel.

The Deputy Commander Joint Helicopter Command, Air Commodore Simon Falla, visited the Station on Wednesday 28 February. The Station Commander, Group Captain Paul Lyall, said after the visit, “Information flow was very much two way, with both parties able to take away a great deal from the numerous discussions with the various sections around the Station. The Air Commodore was particularly impressed by the new Puma and Merlin Force Commander concept. He also commented on what a focused, dedicated and hardworking Station Benson is, asking me personally to pass on his thanks and appreciation to you all during this extended period of high operational tempo.” He was also delighted to hear that the arrival of the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance had gone smoothly, with operations unaffected by the move. He also expressed his heartfelt thanks for all the support given by the people in the local community, without which the Station could not function as effectively as it does.
