By car
Ewelme is just to the south of the B4009 about 2 miles east of Benson and about 6 miles from junction 6 on the M40.
For a map of the area see
Multimap
By bus
Ewelme is served by the small white Thames Travel buses on the route from Wallingford to Watlington. The 132 and 137
(Sundays) routes serve RAF Benson and Green Lane.
For detailed timetables see the
Thames Travel website
By bus from London
The Oxford Tube, which runs from Oxford to and from London, stops at Junction 6 on the M40 if you can find someone to give
you a lift there. Officially there is no parking at the motorway junction but in practice, many people park or get dropped
there to use this cheap, 24 hour, frequent service. (Ranging from every 12 minutes during the day, to 15 or 20 minutes in
the evening and hourly in the middle of the night.)

By train
The closest station is
Cholsey, served by Thames Trains from Paddington westwards.
It is possible to reach Ewelme using
Thames Travel buses (see above) from
Goring station,
the next station along the line towards Reading from Cholsey. In the other direction, there are more frequent
and faster trains available from
Didcot, the busiest station in Oxfordshire.
